Cousin of the Chinquis’s Eperonnier , the Germain’s Epéronnier is rarer and deserves all its place in the Pantheon of Victorian Flies mounting materials, whether classic or Free Style!

The difference is in the feather base, much more brown in the Germain Epéronnier than in the Chinquis.

The eyes that in them are bluer than on the Chinquis which pulls him on the green. Plumassiers and artisans will find here an exceptional bird for their creation.

It became a very popular bird among tyers of artistic Victorian flies, salmon flies or streamers.

The variety of feather sizes with its characteristic purple eyes; offers many uses such as tail veilings, sides, cheeks and whole feather wings

The feathers of this bird appear in the making of  splendid flies referenced in Paul Schmookler's Bible Vol.1.

The body feathers make large throats on salmon and rainbow trout fishing flies.

Our feathers are first grade and all perfectly matched in size and pattern.
