At the end of college, I went into industry to pass my baccalaureate in industrial maintenance (to do like dad). So I went back to the companions of duty. At the age of 15, I was asked to wait a year in machining, and then I was directed to maintenance at the age of 16. Chance does things well. Taken with passion for this profession, I have been machining for 17 years. My passion for machining and closely related to the ability to transform everything. It’s very simple, a little bit of tooling, know-how, willpower, and you can make parts without limits. I think everything is doable when you do it. The fact also of starting from a raw block and making it a product that shines, with 1/100 millimeter ribs and completely different shapes from one piece to another, I just find it splendid or even artistic at times. This is my first passion and as you have also understood my profession. The year I turned 27, I discovered fly fishing thanks to a colleague who made me see the gesture in my field. Watching him do it and seeing the silk unfold, I immediately understood that this fishing was for me. It was indescribably beautiful. I quickly fell addicted to this method of fishing and in the same year I started to mount my own flies. One season passed and apart from the little jokes, nothing else was interested in my artificial ones (between us they looked like all but flies). It is only in the second season that I finally manage to lure my first trout with my own flies, the joy was immense, the sensations were so strong that I remember it as if it were yesterday (I have a smile on my face just from you). One evening, in full assembly to prepare for the weekend, my eyes rested on different tools that I had just acquired, dubing needle, hair cup, twister, vices etc… And then I realized that I had bought tools that I could largely manufacture in my workshop and with my professional network.
